On June 22, the Darnell family introduced the new Shockwave Bounce House at the Vectren Dayton Air Show in Dayton, Ohio. The new Shockwave Bounce House, a bouncy castle roughly twice the size of and in the shape of the team’s Shockwave Jet Truck, will be an added attraction for kids attending the show.

Chris Darnell said that his wife came-up with the idea for adding a bounce house to the fleet.

“I think she was thinking about one of those castle bounce houses. Once it got turned over to me, I guess I took it a little too far,” Darnell said. “But we ended-up with this awesome-looking, exact replica of Shockwave. And kids are loving it.”

The Shockwave Bounce House consists of an inflatable basketball court in the rear of the truck and a mini obstacle course under the hood. At $5 for ten minutes in the Shockwave Bounce House, the Darnell’s have implemented another way to further engage with younger air show fans.
