On November 29, the Rhode Island National Guard announced that, due to anticipated deployments in the coming year, the 2019 Open House Air Show is cancelled. The Open House Air Show is expected to return in 2020.

This is the first time in the Open House Air Show’s 25-year history that this level of deployment has impacted the event, with hundreds of key members being deployed overseas in 2019.
