On January 9, “Aviation Daily News” published a story that incorrectly states that the U.S. Navy Blue Angels were upgrading to F/A-18 Super Hornets, in part, so that they could begin selling rides in the two seat jets.

Aviation Daily News appears to be an on-line publication that runs satirical articles about aviation that are consistently false and occasionally funny,” says Chris Morrison, ICAS Manager of Marketing, Communications and Digital Media. “The story was clearly not true, but many in the air show business did not immediately recognize that it was supposed to be funny.”
