Last week, the FAA officially designated the A-10 Warthog as a CAT II aircraft. In doing so, the A-10 Demonstration Team and aerobatic A-10 aircraft at shows will now be able to perform in more compact airspace where most other demonstrations cannot—in true Warthog fashion.  Being categorized as a CAT II aircraft will allow the A-10 Demonstration team to fly on the 1,000’ show line, instead of the 1,500’ show line.
